it's the long tail of blogging. ok, shoot me.

the work to get 3 articles in national press is, I imagine, a lot less than getting 300 posts by influential bloggers, whose traffic might add up to the national rag. I see it this way: get the traditional press. that builds reputation with bloggers--you're seen as significant, validated. then do the personal tough, talking with four or 5 a day for a month. That gives you the ground cover. And we bloggers aren't automatons--we won't write simply when called on. So you've got a lot of work ahead to get our attention.
