Predatory lending? Surely they could have found a law firm to sponsor the shark exhibit.

Probably the same bank that gave free shotguns to new customers that Michael Moore found.
Perhaps instead....an insurance company...or a plastic surgeon...or a trauma support clinic...

Makes sense if you are trying to reach out to families like yourself, and have a deal with Seaworld that combines marketing with exclusive ATMs. While not a clear tie to a shark exhibit, this is pretty mild as sponsorships go. Why is this so surprising? Who would have been a better sponsor?

Maybe the bank is looking to take a bite out of the truth-in-advertising portion of the long tail.

Great catch Chris! But easy, since the marketplace waters are filled with this nonsense.

Duh, my bad. Thanks for making it obvious for me - count me as someone who's seen so much clutter that it's hard to see either the commercial message or the irony.

Who would have been a better sponsor?
Sushi bar? Bandage company?

Haha.... that's totally hilarious! We do have quite a few "loan sharks" here in Singapore....

Guaranteed*: US Bank sponsors all of this year's (or this five years') special exhibits at Sea World. This is going-through-the-motions sponsorship. I'd bet no one directly involved thought twice about it.
*pure speculation

Obviously they didn't think to ask any San Diego lawyers first.
